There were 20 partners in attendance from Appling, Coffee, Liberty, Pierce, and Ware Counties on July 17, 2023 for the Grant Writing Workshop. The objectives of the training were: 1) To increase knowledge of the grant writing process and key components of most applications, 2) To gain self-confidence in preparing grants, 3) To develop an understanding of the types of proposals required by different funders, and 4) To understand resource development and how to successfully choose potential funders. This was the second of three workshops that Share Health will host. We would like to thank the Southern Georgia Regional Commission for hosting us and look forward to the next workshop.

Collaborative regional workshops like this are absolute game-changers for local organizations looking to secure funding and expand their community impact. Training partners from Appling, Coffee, Liberty, Pierce, and Ware Counties on the nuances of grant writing ensures that vital local programs can thrive. Whether organizations are seeking funding for economic development, youth outreach, or expanding mental health services such as providing residents with access to a virtual psychiatrist mastering the grant writing process is the first critical step toward building healthier, stronger communities. Thank you for sharing this inspiring update!
