Updated: May 31, 2022

National Crime Victims Right 5k Event

Since 1981, National Crime Victims’ Rights Week (NCVRW) has challenged the Nation to confront and remove barriers to achieve justice for all victims of crime. The 5k was April 30th at the Appling County High School Baseball Field and was held to honor survivors and to promote crime victims' rights and services. There were 37 people participated in the race which included community members, and CHAC partners. Thank you to all who participated in the race and those who helped volunteer! Way to go CHAC!

The proceeds from the National Crime Victim's Rights 5k went to The Charlotte Floyd Gore Center. The center provides a 24-hour crisis hotline for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, victim advocacy, forensic medical exams (rape kit), sexual assault medical examiner (SANE), community education, and multidisciplinary review team meetings. For more Information about The Charlotte Floyd Gore Center and ways to show support, please like the organization on Facebook at @thecharlottegorecenter.
